However, in an April 2025 National Assembly Policy Seminar, GS Caltex supported policies and incentives to develop CCS for fossil fuel use without mentioning the need to transition away from a fossil-fuel based energy system.
Industry Association Governance: GS Caltex has disclosed a list of its industry association memberships in its 2023 Sustainability Report published in July 2024, but without an account of its industry associations' positions and engagement activities. The CEO of GS Caltex, Huh Se-hong, is Vice President of the Korean Enterprises Federation (KEF) and the board director of the Korea Petroleum Association (KPA), which have engaged actively on South Korean climate policy.
