Also on its website, accessed in October 2023, FIA stated top-line support for adopted carbon reduction targets in Asian countries to keep warming within the limits set by the UN Paris Agreement. Engagement with Climate-Related Regulations: Food Industry Asia (FIA) appears to have limited engagement with specific climate change regulations. In a white paper published on its website in June 2024, FIA appeared to conditionally support waste management policies such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees, as it supported the eco-modulation of fees and advocated for conditions for EPR systems to work efficiently, but also emphasized concerns over practicality and implementation. In the same white paper, FIA supported waste collection and management targets, but was unclear on whether it supported implementing policy in line with the waste hierarchy as it did not mention the need to prioritize reducing and reusing packaging and packaging waste.

Positioning on Energy Transition: InfluenceMap did not detect public positions from Food Industry Asia (FIA) on the energy transition.
