Top-line Messaging on Climate Policy: The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) engaged broadly positively in its top-line messaging on climate policy in 2021-23. The association’s President and CEO, Lezlee Westine, appeared supportive of the need for drastic climate action in line with the IPCC in PCPC’s 2021 Sustainability Report, published in November 2022. In the same report, the President stated the need for government action on climate change, although she did not clearly support climate regulation. In its 2022 Year in Review Report published in March 2023, the association took an unclear position on the EU Green Deal. PCPC did not take a clear position on the US rejoining the UN Paris Agreement in an April 2021 news release.
