Munich Re appears to have had limited engagement on sustainable finance policy. Munich Re has stated support for the Paris Agreement. In its 2021 Sustainability Report, Munich Re states that it is engaging on the EU's sustainable finance agenda, but does not take a position. However, in the same report, Munich Re does appear to support policy to improve sustainability-related disclosures.
Munich Re disclosed some sustainable finance policies it is following in its 2021 Sustainability Report but did not clearly describe outcomes sought. Munich Re has disclosed its trade association memberships but has not given any further details of its governance of indirect influence.
