The Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) does not appear to have substantially engaged on sustainable finance policy.
MassMutual appears to support action to achieve zero carbon economies, aligning with the goals of the Paris Agreement. In its 2021 ESG Investment Policy, MassMutual describes its investment subsidiary’s engagement with policymakers in support of “sustainable practices, improved transparency, and a durable financial system.”
InfluenceMap has not found further details of sustainable policy engagement from MassMutual or Barings, its investment management subsidiary. MassMutual has not disclosed its membership to industry associations despite being a member of associations that are actively engaged on sustainable finance policy including the Business Roundtable and the American Council of Life Insurers.
